关于 the 剧院生产 Concentration

剧院生产 provides training in all the behind-the-scenes aspects of theatre: stage management, 导演, 艺术管理, 木偶, 戏剧作法, 夸张的设计, 和 technical theatre. We encourage you to study it all! You’ll have the opportunity to develop skills in all facets of theatrical production.

有 three concentrations – 音乐剧, 代理 和 剧院生产 – available within the 剧院主要. No matter what concentration you choose, the program has enough flexibility for you to follow your passions. No matter what concentration you choose, we want our students to be well-rounded theatre artists!

  • THR 322: Theatre 历史 II
  • THR 410: Senior Portfolio Review
  • THR 499: Senior Showcase
  • MUS 050-058: Performance Class
  • MUS 369: Entrepreneurship in the Arts

All theatre majors must complete one concentration.

Every year the School of Music 和 Theatre produces four mainstage 产品; two plays 和 two musicals. Our goal is that during your four-years of study you will have the opportunity to participate in all the different types of theatrical 产品 that you will encounter as a professional artist. 最棒的是? You can audition 和 participate in 产品 as soon as you arrive on campus.

An audition is a required part of the 入学 process for all students planning to major in music 和/or theatre. It also allows the award of music scholarships 和 participation awards for talented non-music majors.

Gundlach剧院
演出场馆

Heidelberg’s Gundlach剧院 is used as a traditional main stage 和 transformed to accommodate a black box style performance. Our performances range from small ensembles to large casts. We also encourage students to perform with local talent 和 professionals at 产品 at the Ritz Theatre in downtown 吃午饭.
